Well it has taken just on two years, SO HERE SHE BE.

There were a lot of photos between where Page 3 Morry rebuild ended and where we are Now.
Most were not worth putting up here as there is little change in them and then due to a shot of colour that was a few shades away from the plan it was decided to RAT ROD the whole project.

The lights are from a RETRO SCOOTER and the tail's are from an early FORD, blinkers are from the same scooter as well.
The tray is a steel frame, with all the rest timber. I decided to make the whole looking lot 50 years old, so some minor dings were left in the pannels and the black was applied. Then the whole lot put together so that in building any scratches or chips were to stay with the orginal YELLOW showing through along these lines the pinstriping was done than parts of it were wiped off.
The only 2 things not at present either rebuild or renewed are the rear springs. Every other part is as new and she has every pice of rubber that Morris gave her or all the rest.
SO I PRESENT

LIZZY

Well at this point only a few things to go on here.
Mudflaps on the rear and some woodwork at the rear of the cab.
She runs a Toyota 4K motor with a 5 speed box and will sit on 100k's in 4th quite happily so who knows where 5th will take us.
OK here is the last photos of her finished, out and about for a photo shoot.

Well She was built to pull a Teardrop Trailer so I called her a Teardrop Trailer TAXI Truck.
I handpainted this sign then rubbed it back to get that old look.

over the years I have collected some old Taxi stuff so at last it has all come together at 1 place , and yes that is a wind up Taxi meter in the cab on the left side and if I start it up it costs 2/6 pence to go any where.
My grandfather had the hand on a stick on his truck back in the 1930's so I rebuilt it and it can be attached when parked and showing off, I would not drive with it on (just in case I lost it)

That is the TAXI sign done by a plastic sign writer in some worn out font.

Even Google'd myself some Mexican Sherps for that Ratty look.

Well that's all for now have to tinker a bit with other stuff and wait a few years for her to get a realy old paint look so I hoped you enjoyed your viewing
